Lisa integrates the transformative practices of Yoga, Reiki, Meditation, and Sound into her comprehensive offerings. With a lifelong dedication to yoga that began at the age of eight when she discovered her mother's influential book, "The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga," Lisa has evolved into a healer over the span of 50 years.

Her commitment to professional growth is evident through continuous learning and immersion with esteemed yogis and teachers. This ongoing education ensures a nuanced and enriched teaching approach.

Lisa's expertise extends beyond yoga instruction, encompassing a profound understanding of the human body, fueled by an ardent passion for human anatomy. This knowledge serves as the cornerstone of her teaching and bodywork, providing clients with a holistic and informed experience.

Lisa extends her offerings to private sessions in Reiki, Sound Therapy, and fundamental craniosacral adjustments. These personalized sessions are crafted to foster well-being and balance on physical, mental, and energetic levels. Additionally, Lisa is available as a coach for individuals seeking guidance in developing a meditation and yoga practice. Lisa is also available to conduct larger group sound bath sessions.

YogaFit International Yoga Training

200-hour comprehensive training in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards.  Training included specialty programs in teaching Yoga to Seniors and Prenatal yoga. (Completed 2006) 

Relax and Renew training with Judith Hanson Lasater, PH.D, P.T.

Restorative Yoga Level 1 training and course work completed in April 2009; Advanced training completed in September 2009 with practical course work completed December 2009.

Anatomy training with Laura Allard

Laura is a Certified Kinesthetic Anatomist KA2 with over 18 years of experience teaching anatomy nationally and internationally.  Completed 3 in-depth training courses; Anatomy in Clay - hip to foot (April 2008) and Anatomy in Clay - hip to head (April 2009), and Anatomy of the organs (April 2010). 

Yoga philosophy a conversation with Dr. Douglas Brooks

Douglas is a professor of religion and chair of Asian Studies at the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y.  Training provided an aerial overview of Indian philosophy (May 2009).

Core Strength abdominals & yoga 

A journey from mula bandha (toning the pelvic floor) and exploring the abdominal muscles as stabilizers and their role in exhaling (April 2010).

Yoga for Scoliosis and Back Care with Elise Miller

Training for Yoga Teachers.  This 20-hour teacher training program included information on scoliosis and back asymmetrical patterns, Elise’s approach to yoga for scoliosis and a sequence of beginning and intermediate poses designed to reduce back pain and create better postural alignment of the body (September 2009).

Ayurveda – the Stages of Life with Dr. Svoboda

Robert Svoboda was the first Westerner to be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India.  This was an introduction to the concepts of Ayurveda, doshas, gunas etc.  This training addressed ways to work with genetic material, personal experiences, family, and cultural background (June 2010 and December 2010).

Anatomy, Kinesiology and Asana with Judith Hanson Lasater, PH.D, P.T.

Training covered functional movements and yoga practices that strengthen and support the body (2011).

Ayurveda and the Science of Longevity with John Douillard, DC, CAP.

Completed training through Yoga International, this course covered how ancient teaching of ayurveda are supported by scientific research. (2013)

Experiential Anatomy with Judith Hanson Lasater, PH.D, P.T.

Training provided an in-depth understanding of movement and the body’s starting with anatomy in the service of functional movement on the yoga mat. (Fall 2017)

Meditation Teacher Training with Davidji

This 125-hour meditation training course covered various types of meditation but focused on mantra based. (April 2020)

Reiki One-First Degree with Jamie Rose Ley 

Training covered the traditional Usui system and a personal attunement (February 2023)

Sound Healing with Jospeh Schmidlin, DOmtp, LMT

40-hour training on the Homeopathy of Sound, learning the physiological impact sound has on the brain and bodies. (August 2023)

CranioSacral Therapy 1 (CS!) with Upledger Institute

Training covered the process to complete an assessment of central nervous system and fascia for full body treatment protocol (December 2023)
